I see here many Romanians are angry because my Roma brothers are getting the respect for this music 😂😂❤ .. so please dear hating Romanians know the real history of this music I tell you ! Yes the basis of this music comes from Balkan music and yes they are playing Balkan songs .. but the musician Roma tribe who lives in Romania developed this music into their own style called Manale (just like many other musicians Roma tribes did in different countries ) ! They brought extra styles to it like classical jazz and their own Roma gypsy style folklores mixed into this Balkan music and become known as Manele because it was them who developed it into this style ! Ain’t no Romanians or any type of Europeans nor anybody just Roma who plays it in this style called manele ! Thank you for your understanding dear haters even tho y’all very well know this so there for the real credit goes for my Roma brothers for playing it in a totally different way then any of you Romanians ! Or anyone ! .. go and born another 20 times In a row and maybe you will able to come close so you can have the taste and style like these Roma have 😉🤭😘

Cecilia Bartoli is by far my favorite singer. I have loved her for over 25 years. But this comment goes to the recorder player. He is incredible. I have studied the recorder and can tell you that the sopranino recorder is an easy instrument to make a sound on. A very unpleasant sound! It takes a lot to make it sound beautiful. This man is a master. The emotion and technique he possesses are exquisite. Truly superb. Much respect to Cecilia for not cutting that section from the set list. ❤️

This music is a world treasure. I am from Ethiopia but I am moved by the melody. It’s a beautiful piece, I wish only understand the meanings of words. Beautiful music.

Mclaughlin has chops, just not jazz chops. I don't care for his playing at all in this context. Tone is awful, articulation is poor. Doesn't use jazz vocabulary. Just awful tbh.

And if Cecilia, by just perfectly singing the music of those times seems astonishing to us, what might the Holy Virgins of God have been like???!!! We're talking of an era when the spirit was infinitely free, because it roamed in the vastness of God's Pastures, in Heaven - so, what might a Holy Virgin have been like??!!! By some cunning errors, people imagine them to have been "lovingly subdued", of a mellow compliant compromise, as they try and depict good love or charity these days....They were good, exceptionally good, but because they were loving God first of all, they were one with Him, so in that freedom, they were somehow unpredictable, which then made them of exceptional beauty, because they were reflecting Christ at that moment!!... Now God suffers, it's oppressed, subdued and marginalised, because His Doctrine has been brought down to the dung of this world, where He also is, but not in the way we fancy He is!!!
